Moxy the Hague

A great base for exploring The Hague, and we really enjoyed our stay. The fitness room was the best I’ve seen, with lots of high-end machines, some of which looked untouched. If you’re driving, there’s a garage downstairs. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

Veronica and Elena made me feel cared for from the moment I arrived. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the stay comfortable and memorable. They greeted me with a smile and made sure I had what I needed. Chris and demy I had a wonderful stay at Moxy The Hague and would recommend it to friends or family visiting The Hague. The drains in the shower smelled bad, and there wasn’t a comfortable place in the room to work. That makes it hard to recommend for business travel. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. It’s a funky, modern hotel with a fun feel and a handy spot near the train station in the city centre. My room was spacious and generally comfortable, with some nice touches. I liked the subtle light under the bed that comes on for a trip to the toilet at night. There wasn’t a complimentary bottle of water, though you could readily buy one at reception. Three stars feels a little low, but I can’t quite give it four.

The staff were friendly throughout, and breakfast was good, with a reasonable choice of hot and cold drinks, yogurts, scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, and bread. There wasn’t a huge selection of pastries and bread. The bacon was a little overcooked and hard, but everything else was very good. We enjoyed the room overall. It was a good size, clean, and had a comfortable bed. A few shower jets sprayed sideways, and the heating wasn’t working properly. It felt very cold when we arrived, even though the thermostat showed 22°C. We turned it up to 26°C, the highest setting, but the room still felt chilly during the night. We were on the first floor, where the tram passes right by the window until around 00:30 and starts again around 8:00, so there was noticeable noise. The photos were taken as we were leaving. There was a small check-in mistake about breakfast. Staff initially said it wasn’t included because the information wasn’t in their system, but they sorted it out quickly. The next day, a very friendly Portuguese staff member called me to reception and resolved the issue promptly. Everything went smoothly after that. I’d recommend the hotel and stay again, though I’d avoid the first floor and ask for an extra blanket next time :)
