We found the center of Valkenburg easy to reach on foot, and there’s free private parking directly behind the hotel. The garden even has a passion fruit tree, a lovely little detail. Our garden-facing room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable with the topper. Breakfast was served with personal attention and set us up well for the day. Hotel Heynen has been around for over 100 years, and its new owner clearly runs the traditional place with a lot of dedication. We booked spontaneously while driving from The Hague to Maastricht and arrived around 9:30 p.m., but still got a very friendly welcome. We’d gladly stay again on another visit to Maastricht or Valkenburg. Thank you very much 🙏🏻

The hosts really do their best for you. The rooms are clean, ensuite, and made up daily, and the continental breakfast has a great variety that sets you up for the day. The town centre is close by, with the train station about a 10 minute walk away.

A small, warm place that’s affordable too. I loved how hospitable the lovely owner couple were. The lady serves breakfast with so much love, which makes it feel even more filling!

It’s a simple, functional hotel, and the room was very clean. The hostess was extremely friendly and accommodating, and provided lactose-free items for breakfast when we asked. The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the town center and the caves. There’s free parking in the courtyard. We’d gladly return.
