Hotel & Brasserie de Zwaan

The owners’ kindness and attention to detail really made this feel like a home away from home. They speak perfect English, which is handy for international guests. I spent two weeks here on a business trip to Venray and had a great stay. This is a small hotel with 10 rooms, run by a lovely couple, and it was fully refurbished just a year ago. The modern rooms were very clean and comfortable, with a cozy, welcoming feel. The brasserie was a highlight, with top-notch food, great flavors, and beautiful presentation. Breakfast was also very good and well prepared. The owners were around from breakfast in the morning through late at night at the hotel’s brasserie, and the service stood out throughout my stay. It’s in a pedestrian area of Venray, close to shops and restaurants, which was very convenient. A wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting for business or leisure.

The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in lately. It’s a lovely little hotel in central Venray, with friendly staff and nice rooms. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area.

Rob and Bernice have made the building clean, modern, and comfortable, and my room was nicely decorated with a wonderfully comfortable bed. There are double paned windows and air conditioning in every room too. I stayed at the Square for 12 days on a business trip and was impressed by how hard working and involved the owners are. They served breakfast in the mornings and ran the Brasserie late into the evening. The Hotel and Brasserie staff were attentive and professional. I look forward to coming back to Venray and staying here again.

The renovation is amazing, bringing the former Zwaan back to life with luxury rooms and great food again. The owners, Rob & Bernice, have done a fantastic job. It’s an ideal base for a stay in a village with so much character, and it seems like it could thrive as a weekend or mid week destination. I’ll be back.
