The breakfast was delicious and generous, and for a budget hotel the value was very good for a night in Flushing. The room itself was basic and low-budget, but clean and tidy, with good single beds and a private shower. Service at breakfast was attentive and caring, though our check-in the day before was chaotic during the restaurant rush. We stayed in room 1 in August 2018. The restaurant terrace sat below us, but we had no nighttime noise or smell of smoke. It was warm in the room after a sunny day, though opening several windows let in cool sea air. There were two fans in the closet, so it could get hot in summer. Hotel-restaurant "Ambiente" has a Spanish tapas restaurant downstairs and hotel rooms on the first and second floors, overlooking the old fishing port of Flushing, now a marina. The hotel has its own keyed entrance through the restaurant. You can't park in front, but a parking lot is only a few minutes' walk away. The Zeeuws Maritiem Museum is diagonally across the street. The food is good and the restaurant is usually okay. This time the young staff were working alone without supervision and forgot our table, which made for a bad experience. The manager handled our complaint professionally, so I still give it three stars.

The rendang was especially good, and the food overall was amazing. Our waiters were friendly and capable. The only downside was our table right by the door. It was freezing outside, so whenever the door opened we got a nasty cold draft.

The food was really nice and the prices were too, which made the poor service a shame. The waiters were slow and forgetful, and we ended up sitting there for a long time.
