Hotel de Timmerfabriek I Kloeg Collection

I've stayed here on and off for months, and the rooms are great. The apartments are fantastic too. The air conditioning in the hotel rooms just isn't powerful enough to cool the sleeping area. Breakfast should start before 7, maybe around 6:15 or 6:30.

Ania was the best part, really kind to us and so helpful. It's a really nice place to stay, and getting to the highway is easy.

We loved the location, with a pedestrian pier right in front and a view over the shipyard's new luxury boats. The centre is within walking distance. Parking directly outside wasn't guaranteed, but we had no trouble finding a spot. Our superior four-person room had huge windows, a five-metre ceiling, and a balcony. The hotel has been freshly renovated with tasteful design that keeps the area's historic character. Breakfast was quite good, with plenty for people who like either sweet or savoury food. The price seemed fair for what we got.

The hotel and rooms look nice, and our room had a great view. But management was poor, and most of the staff fell short of expectations. On the first evening, communication was a disaster, even though we speak Dutch, English, and French fluently. At 7, we asked for simple bar snacks like olives and prosciutto. They immediately said we couldn't order anything else for the next two hours because they were too busy, although there were maybe 15 people in the restaurant. On our last night, a large family in the room next door made so much noise it felt as if the gestapo had arrived. Reception asked them twice to quiet down, but nothing changed, and loud music went on until 4 at night. We spent a lot on a suite, but that's all the hotel had going for it. It isn't a four-star hotel. The only relevant four is that you won't sleep before 4.
