De Rode Beuk

We woke up to a wonderful breakfast waiting for us each morning, and the quiet area has walking and biking paths. The room was spacious and beautiful, with a large bathroom and comfortable bed. Lucy made sure our needs were met, and the balcony overlooking the garden was a lovely extra. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

We spent three days here and enjoyed it a lot. The location worked really well for us: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, the beach, Keukenhof, Kinderdijk, and many charming small towns are about half an hour away by car. Across the road, the large Oud-Wassenaar park is good for a walk or jog. The owners are very pleasant, and breakfast is amazing. Our spacious, clean, well-furnished room had everything we needed: coffee machine, kettle, fridge, fast wifi, and a roomy shower room. Best of all, the balcony sits among greenery and birdsong, a nice spot for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. There’s parking in the yard.

Lucy and her husband were accommodating and discreet, and I felt very comfortable in the beautifully furnished room. It was large, with a lovely view of the trees. Breakfast arrived at the door every morning, varied a little each day, and was generous, with nothing lacking. The place is exceptionally quiet and green while still central. The Hague and the North Sea are each about 30 minutes away by bike. Highly recommended, and I’d love to return. Thanks, Lucy, and best wishes to your lovely dog :)

The landlady was lovely, and she made a wonderful breakfast with plenty of variety. We felt very comfortable, with lots of room. In summer the fridge was invaluable, and so was the fan. We really appreciated having the bathroom and toilet separate. The bed was a little too soft for us, though that’s just personal preference.
