It's a spacious, clean, quiet apartment outside Utrecht. Woerden has a direct train to Amsterdam, and you can also take the train into Utrecht or drive to a P+R outside the city. Parking by the station is a bit steep. On Sunday, we paid almost €9 from 10am-6pm. We cooked instead of using the B&B option. The Jumbo is five minutes away, and cooking was easier with our picky youngest. The kitchen has plenty of pots and basic things like oil. Bring your own extras if you want more flavor. There are Senso and drip coffee makers, lots of tea to choose from, and milk is provided. The hosts are friendly. We only spoke with the lady. Dogs are allowed downstairs, which worked fine for our independent, well-behaved dogs. The road there is tiny, with canals on both sides, so only one car can pass at a time. There are passing spots now and then, but you need to watch for oncoming cars or you could end up having to reverse. 😬

Our hostess didn't seem to understand how difficult the sleeping arrangement was for my daughter's assistance dog. She asked in advance if the dog could go upstairs, and I had clearly explained that we would be coming with her and our other dog. When we arrived, though two bedrooms were available, we were only allowed to use the one I had selected. The assistance dog is used to staying close to my daughter and isn't used to someone else sleeping in the room. We tried as we had no other choice, but the dog paced and whimpered for most of the night, so we barely slept. My daughter was finally on vacation after years, and it was her first trip with her assistance dog. The next day, we asked to use the second room, but the hostess kept making excuses and said the next night would surely be better. She also asked if we had practiced sleeping in the same room with the dog, and whether we were taking the dogs out enough because she hadn't seen them in the yard. Our assistance dog wasn't comfortable there because the house dog was roaming around. The hostess wouldn't open the other bedroom unless we paid extra for its cleaning. We felt that was unacceptable. It was upsetting to have so much misunderstanding and interference on a vacation that meant a lot to my daughter.

The owner was friendly, and the accommodation was lovely, well kept, and fully equipped. It's a beautiful central spot for visiting Woerden, Utrecht, De Haar Castle, and other places. We'll definitely come back.
