Studio RoSa

We had two pleasant studios, just a 5-minute walk from the station and about 20 minutes on foot to the city center. Sharing the bathroom facilities was no problem. We’ll pass a few small suggestions for improvement directly to the owners, who were also quick to respond when we had urgent questions.

Studio RoSa is close to the station, just through the tunnel. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of useful touches: free coffee and tea, towels provided, and drinks or snacks available for a fee. There’s on-site parking opposite a bakery. One thing to know, on Sunday mornings only the AH to go is open for breakfast. We had several problems, though. The sunflower room smelled sour and not fresh when we arrived. Scented sticks were there, but the little oil pot had what looked like a whole biotope growing inside. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. My hips hurt after the first night, like I’d slept on a leaky air mattress, so on the second night we stacked the mattresses. When we stripped the beds, we found old urine stains on a dirty mattress. The shared shower drained poorly, and there were damp and mold spots visible on the walls. The decor also felt dated, with mediocre hinges and locks. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Sharing the bathroom was no problem, and the room had excellent facilities. It’s a nice spot for an overnight stay if you’re going to a concert at Doornroosje, which is a good 5-minute walk away.

The building was a bit old, but the room was large and the bed comfortable. It’s close to the center, and I’d recommend it.
