Hotel Oranjestaete

The rooms are huge, clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped, with lovely windows that open for fresh air, good beds, and a pleasant kitchen area. Staff were kind, friendly, and helpful, and having bikes and umbrellas available for guests made our trip much easier. Hotel Oranje Staete felt like a home away from home. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Nijmegen.

Everything we needed was within walking distance, from a supermarket and gym to restaurants and bars. The hotel desk staff were happy to offer suggestions, and the route from the central train station was a straight walk along a safe path, even at night. Despite being on a busy street, the flat stayed quiet. My apartment was spacious, exceptionally clean, quiet, and well furnished, in a very safe area. This was one of my best stays during my travels in Europe, and I hope to return. The quality was exceptional.

There are plenty of nearby places for a decent breakfast, plus a large supermarket, so breakfast needn’t be a worry. The rooms are spacious, fully equipped, and quiet, with an espresso machine for a nice morning routine. It’s a charming hotel in a great spot near the concert hall and train station, and works well for either a short or longer stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and if you’re lucky, they may greet you with a complimentary glass of wine.

I’ve been coming to Nijmegen regularly for business for 13 years, and Oranjestaete is still my favorite hotel in the city. When I can get a booking, my favorite start to a working day is coffee on the room balcony. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated, and the hosts’ service makes the place feel like home. It’s an easy walk to the train station for my morning commute, and close enough to downtown for a relaxed stroll after work.
