Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Zevenbergen-Moerdijk

Dinner was the big letdown. Even with our group meal ordered the day before and a fixed seating time, each of the three dinners took two and a half hours, with long waits between courses. I'm vegetarian, and the only protein I got was a tiny scoop of ice cream with fruit salad on the last night. Meat and fish eaters had more to eat, though their vegetables were just a few small pieces arranged on the plate, with fries on the side, so the meals still didn't seem very nutritious. The hotel itself is in a pleasant, quiet spot, about a ten-minute walk from Zevenbergen. I stayed three nights with a coach group. Most rooms were clean, but one disposable cup in ours was dirty and hadn't been replaced. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar had a decent range of drinks. The food was tasty and nicely presented, despite the very slow service.

The beds are very comfortable, and staff are quite friendly. Breakfast was decent too. But the so-called luxury double room was poorly cleaned: several differently colored stains on the sheets, pubic hairs on the shower head, and signs of general neglect. The walls are paper thin as well. I wouldn't come back.

We got in at 5 pm after travelling all day, only to be told there were no dinner reservations available. How were we supposed to know to book ahead? The lack of customer care was shocking, and it was very disappointing.

The rooms are spacious, with nice bathrooms, and breakfast was good even if the choice wasn't huge. I spent two nights here on a recent business trip. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating when speaking English. I'd happily stay again.
