NH Zoetermeer

The train station right next door made getting around really convenient. I was especially impressed by how friendly and helpful the receptionist was, including upgrading our room at no extra cost. Our stay was pleasant, and I'd consider coming back. The beds were large and very comfortable, and the room itself was comfortable too, though a little dated. The air conditioning didn't work properly, and there was still a lingering smell from when smoking was allowed in the hotel.

They even had a welcome gift ready for our daughter, plus a welcome pack for our dog. Such a thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly, and the location worked well for us, close to the highway exit and just a few meters from a train station. There's private underground parking at the hotel.

Breakfast had plenty of fruit, juice, coffee, bread, and sliced meats, much like a continental breakfast elsewhere in this part of the world. The spacious reception area was nice, and our room was good too. We only stayed one night as part of a European tour with fellow Indians, and it felt like good value for the money. We had a twin room, though the beds seemed queen-sized. The toilet and shower are together, and there was also a bathtub. In the room: a hair dryer, magnifying mirror, kettle, TV, fridge, safe, several charging points, and extra pillows.

I felt ripped off. We paid over 160 EUR for one night, including an extra 17 EUR for parking, and the room wasn't what we'd booked. We reserved a three-bed room but were given a double room with an extra bed. Maybe that's why they ask you to pay at check-in. The online check-in form was no help either. I'd already submitted my details, but our guest cards had a random address that was over 12 years old, so I had to enter everything again. I can't recommend staying here.
