The rooms are clean as they can be, with fresh linens and good beds, though they could use some upgrades. In summer they can get stuffy and much too warm. We’ve stayed here several times while traveling between Bergen, Haugesund and Stavanger, with and without pets. It’s pet friendly, but pets have to remain in the room while you eat breakfast. Breakfast is really nice for the price, and the lady who makes it is exceptional. I’d definitely recommend it for a short stop or layover.

Breakfast was good, but it ended at 11am, leaving nowhere to sit and relax during the day. I was told when booking that dinner was available, then found out on arrival that they don’t serve it on weekends. The rooms were clean, but the bed was probably the worst I’ve slept in, far too soft and hard to get out of. I got no sleep for two days and had nowhere to meet others. I probably won’t come back.

After more than 15 years traveling around different parts of Norway and staying in and around Haugesund for much of that time, I found this lovely little place. It’s close to local amenities and a friendly, great alternative to the main hotels in Haugesund. I’ll definitely return when I next visit friends in the area.

The price felt too high for this kind of place, especially since it wasn’t close to any special tourist attractions. I wouldn’t recommend it. The room had no ventilation and started to smell, so we opened the windows, but then road and construction site noise disturbed us. There wasn’t even a lamp for proper lighting. When we couldn’t draw the curtains, we had to rely on light from the TV or bathroom. The bed was much too soft and wouldn’t hold its shape, and a few times I slid off the edge onto the floor. During our four nights there, the room wasn’t cleaned once. Breakfast was nothing special either.
