The room was okay, though I would have preferred the cleaning every two days instead of every three. The central location was great, with a supermarket, other amenities, and both tram and bus stops nearby. I'd recommend it for a holiday or a work trip, and I'd choose it again if I come back to Oslo.

Friday night was noisy, since the street is full of bars and the room didn't block their sound very well. That cost it a star for me. Otherwise, I liked the idea: the room was fairly spacious and had a handy kitchenette. It was an affordable, efficient stay, and I didn't see another guest or any staff the whole time. The small lobby kiosk checked me in and printed my key without any trouble.

The automated check-in suited me well. The machine printed my key card and the room was ready, and I appreciated not having forced interaction with anyone. Staff were helpful by email, though the cleaning staff were quite unhelpful when I reported that the coffee machine was broken. The free coffee machine was there, but I didn't use it because it had no tea, just hot water. We got a room a little larger than the pictures showed. It had a fully equipped kitchen, including everything we needed, though at first we missed that the appliance outlets were above the counter. There were no outlets by the bed, which would've been useful. The first night we couldn't turn off a light, but after I emailed, they replaced the switch batteries the next day and it was fine. The price was a bit high, but reasonable for Norway. The location worked well for us, with trams, buses, and a large Meny grocery store nearby. The room was clean enough, towels and sheets were clean, the pillow was very comfortable and warm, and all the soap and shampoo had been replenished. The water didn't taste as good as I'm used to in Scandinavia, though maybe that's because Frogner is an older district. The blackout curtains worked perfectly, and I slept very comfortably. I definitely recommend the hotel.

I've stayed here three times now and I'm so glad I found it. The service has been really good, and the distance to my classes has been just right. I like having privacy and being able to make my own meals in the small kitchen. I'm a light sleeper, though, and the walls don't insulate sound very well. That's true of plenty of hotels, and this is an older building, so soundproofing probably wasn't a big priority when it was built. Still, I'm very happy with my stays here.
