We spent four nights at Gargia Lodge and would come back without hesitation. It was peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature that made us feel far removed from everything else. With no light pollution, it's one of the best places near Alta for seeing the Northern Lights. The staff made the stay especially memorable. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable, and we felt at home right away. For a peaceful stay with Arctic scenery and a wonderful aurora experience, Gargia Lodge is a great choice.

The staff were wonderful and did everything they could to make us happy. The one thing I'd change is the bedroom lighting, which could be brighter. Set in the middle of Gargia valley, the lodge is a great spot for a proper Norwegian Arctic experience, with activities like dogsledding, snowshoe walks, and snowmobile rides. Its distance from the city also makes it an ideal place to watch the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis.

The people were wonderful, the setting was beautiful, and the dogs were so sweet. I'd happily do it again, 10/10. I'd bring toe warmers for the ride.

A problem with Norwegian Airlines left us with an unexpected 24-hour layover here, and it turned into a fantastic experience. Rose gave us a lovely welcome, the food was hearty and delicious, and the bed in Room no.1 felt like sleeping on clouds. I'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
