Grand Hotel Arendal - Unike Hoteller

The sailing theme suits the city well, and the hotel feels nice and cozy. Staff were friendly, breakfast had more than enough choices, and everywhere in town was an easy walk away. I was disappointed there was no free parking.

I really liked this hotel’s style and atmosphere. The rooms were great, though a little too dark. Wifi was awesome, the beds were comfy, the shower was good and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended.

This is one of the better hotels in Arendal if you’re into old places with a bit of history. The facade and hallways look old, but all the rooms have been freshly renovated. Avoid the single beds, though, they’re quite narrow. Breakfast is okay, and they serve soup with bread and jam at 7PM.

I was in superior double room 206, which had a separate sitting room, a trundle bed under the couch and a large bathroom. The bed was divine, and I got the best night’s sleep I’ve had in several months of work travel. There’s also a nice sitting room on the second level, with a large TV and a water fountain, a good spot to catch up with others at the end of the day. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and had a nice variety. There’s a quaint bar area too, with a light evening meal on offer. The hotel is close to the town centre. It’s a beautiful hotel.
