It’s a quiet, pleasant place about 15 minutes by car from Kristiansund. The apartment is clean and cozy, with nice decor and its own kitchen. The owner’s children were lovely, showed us to the room, and answered our questions. The tricky part was check-in and check-out: the owner didn’t answer calls or the doorbell, and there were no signs or instructions. We ended up having to leave the key in the safe beside the apartment door.

The staff were friendly and did fix things when we reported them, but the room was in a bad state. There were dirty towels, leftover beer cans in the cupboard, and clothes left behind. The floors hadn’t been cleaned and felt really sticky underfoot. The beds were also very small for an adult.

Nice restaurant, sua casa, and the first Portuguese restaurant in Norway.

Our host was so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay, always there when we needed them. The apartment was lovely and cozy, and we were delighted with our three days at Kronborg Marina. Averøya is a charming base, just a short drive from Kristiansund and the Atlantic Road, with Molde about an hour away.
