We stopped at the cafe just for waffles, so I can't say anything about the rooms. The staff were very friendly, the waffles tasted great, and they had a nice range of Norwegian souvenirs and gifts. It was a lovely visit.

This felt more like an overpriced backpacker place than a proper hotel. Our room was cramped, damp, uncomfortable, and had a bad bed. Getting in was complicated, with several codes to deal with, and there was no staff on site. Construction work in the building made noise while we were there. We cancelled two nights and didn't get a refund.

Check-in was easy with the self-service setup, and the location was great. But the noise was intense. Bring earplugs, you'll need them.

The location is good, and I felt safe in my room, but I was extremely dissatisfied. There are 13 rooms sharing one bathroom, and both its toilet and shower drain were clogged when we arrived. Construction starts early right next door. You can hear everything other guests do through the thin walls. The rooms themselves are fine, though the beds feel extremely cheap and uncomfortable. Cheap blinds let in the sun, which rises at 4 am. You get what you pay for.
