Valentyna made both of my stays feel special and memorable. She’s such a warm, kind, always-smiling person, and I’m very grateful for her. The rest of the staff were lovely too, always ready to help and so welcoming. There’s a pretty, intimate bar and a large room for fika, with freshly baked cakes. Breakfast and dinner had an extensive selection and tasted fresh and delicious. I also loved the charming old-fashioned feel, the decor, and modern touches like the sauna and exercise room.

We were surprised to find dinner included, with different options each night, and it was a real treat. The breakfast buffet was great too, with plenty of hot food, breads, juices, and choices from the cappuccino and latte machine. The hotel’s close to the Hurtigruten Cruise terminal. Fløibanen is a five-minute walk away, Starbucks is three minutes away, and shopping is about seven minutes on foot. Really enjoyed this hotel!

The front desk staff were so helpful and kind. Since we had an early flight and would miss the great breakfast, they even packed one for us to take along. The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great for everything. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The restaurant staff were friendly and good, and the evening buffet is handy if you’re happy with what’s available and don’t want to go out to eat. The hotel’s in a very central spot. Our room, though, was quite dark, and even a floor lamp didn’t make much difference. Rooms are cleaned only every three to four days; ours was cleaned the day before we left. They didn’t seem flexible about it, even when we mentioned it. Reception and housekeeping service weren’t good and need improvement.
