The evening buffet was a practical touch, with a better range of options than we’d expected. Breakfast also had plenty to choose from, though a few things didn’t taste quite right. We found the food’s quality and flavour a little disappointing despite the quantity and variety, and the shared areas could use more attention to upkeep. On the plus side, the location is amazing, right among picturesque spots, and the facilities are convenient. The free sauna and hammam were a lovely bonus, our room was a good size, and cleanliness was up to a good standard. A great hotel with useful perks, though better food and a bit more finesse in the common areas would make it even better.

You can walk to museums, shops, restaurants, trails, the fjord tour, churches, and plenty more. There’s a garage right there for parking. Inside, there’s a sauna and gym, a bar and library, and a fantastic lounge. Fresh coffee or lattes are available all day, and the food is really good.

My partner says this is the best hotel she’s ever stayed at, and we travel a lot. The food is excellent, even on vegetarian dinner night, and the breakfasts are the best we’ve had. Rooms are clean and really comfortable, with a small fridge that’s handy to have. The location is excellent and the staff are efficient and friendly. The shower switch took a tip: pull down on the tap spout. The room lights were a bit complicated, and the bathroom could use more light. Don’t miss a drink at the amazing lobby bar. We’d stay here again.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, along with a few shops. We stayed as a couple in April 2025. The lounge by reception is a lovely, spacious place to sit and have a drink. Breakfast had lots to choose from, and complimentary coffee and cake are available in the afternoon. We booked through jet 2, and the Fjords excursion is a must when visiting Bergen. I’d recommend this hotel.

We stayed in four Scandinavian cities, and this was our favourite hotel. The location was great, the rooms were nice, and the big lobby was a comfortable place to relax and meet up with people. Breakfast was great too. If we come back to Bergen, this is where we’d stay.
