Bodø Hostel

We could walk to everything we needed in central Bodø from here, and the room was quiet, clean, and just big enough. It’s a good option for a budget traveler. We chose a room with a built-in bathroom since, in our mid-60s, a 4:00 a.m. trip down the corridor to pee isn’t much fun. The bathroom had a high 12-inch step, which was an interesting thing to navigate in the middle of the night, but the shower worked very well and was pleasant. It’s a hostel, with no communal lounge, though the kitchen was completely satisfactory.

I found this hotel very bad. A lot of the facilities are outdated, and the staff weren’t helpful. It wasn’t worth staying here, and I’d suggest booking somewhere else if you want to avoid a bad experience.

I was unsure about trying a hostel since it was my first time, but this was a wonderful budget option. The room was very clean and the shared areas were well looked after. Laundry and the communal kitchen were especially useful given hostel prices. It’s central too, just a quick two-minute walk to the main shopping centre and bus stops.

The train station location was handy, but there was no noise at night. Rooms and kitchen were very clean, with plenty of dishes and plates, and linen and towels provided. Remember your room key if you need the lift or are leaving the building. The nearby restaurant is open 9:00-19:00.
