Brattvåg is a beautiful place, with plenty of options for tours and fishing, and the hotel connects to a small mall and cafeteria. Inside, it’s clean and nicely designed. The crew are fantastic, and the food really surprised me. I’m vegetarian, but the dish looked so good I had to try it. It was amazing. Seriously, the cook deserves 3 Michelin stars. Highly recommend this place.

Marie at reception was a huge help and made sure our group had everything we needed. We were five people in Kongsberg for a course, and the hotel was just a 3-minute drive away. It had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was excellent. We all had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area.

I’d definitely stop here and stay for dinner. It was one of the best dinners I’ve had at a small-town hotel that doesn’t make a big show of itself.

The price is high, but the quality really isn’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are plenty of complaints about it.

The lobby is cozy and the restaurant is okay, but the staff were almost impossible to get help from. I was there twice with two groups, and we had to chase the waiters whenever we needed anything. Once, I signaled to them and two of them saw me, but both ignored us. We sent written instructions about our group size a week ahead and ordered the food 3 days in advance, yet there were still lots of “misunderstandings.” On the first visit, the tables hadn’t been put together as I’d requested, and they hadn’t reserved the lobby tables. The second time, the food was cold, our empty plates and glasses stayed on the table all night, and no one checked whether we needed anything. We waited a very long time for everything. Everyone was very disappointed.
