Thon Partner Hotel Central

We stayed two nights in Elverum after a bus tour that took us through eight hotels between Oslo and Bergen. We’d also rented a car for an ancestry trip, and this was the best room we’d seen. It was a nice hotel with roomy rooms and good food. The elevator felt a bit small, and a couple of times we had to move the rental car every two hours between 8am and 6pm, which was a minor hassle. The good parts outweighed those inconveniences by a lot.

The room I booked turned out much bigger than I expected, with a king-sized bed in one bedroom and a separate room for the kids. For the small price I paid, I was amazed by the space. The bathroom was great, though I did miss having a minibar or mini fridge for food and drinks. The hotel is right in the centre of Elverum, so getting around was easy. I’d give it four stars for the location, food, and service. I tried a different meat each day and most of it was delicious. The pepper steak was the one dish that lacked some flavor, but I’d recommend the "Confit crispi farm duck leg" to anyone. It was so tender, with loads of great flavors. Staff were professional and gave me good suggestions for sauces, vegetables, and other sides to go with the meat. If you’re visiting Elverum, I’d highly recommend staying here.

The bass from the techno club below the hotel went on all night, even in the middle of the week. It was so loud I couldn’t rest or sleep, which is simply unacceptable. I’m here for two weeks and already regret staying. Never again. Don’t come here if you need to sleep.

The breakfast selection was amazing, and the room was great. It’s close to the railway station too. One thing the bathroom needed was a spot to put a toiletry bag. We couldn’t find anywhere for one.
