Egenes Camping

The washrooms were spotless, roomy, and modern, honestly almost too nice for a campsite 😅. The kitchen was spacious too, with lots of indoor tables and power outlets, and the reception shop had snacks. We had a great tent spot right by the fjord and pier, and swimming there was lovely. Even though the campground was full, it stayed quiet. There’s also a great playground for kids. This was the best campsite of our trip! 🙌🏻

The sand was clean, with no rubbish around, and the water temperature felt just right. I remember swimming here as a child, and the place has changed a lot since then. There’s less of a big beach now, and more of a built-in trailer park.

The café and restaurant were closed when we arrived just after the season, though the weather more than made up for that. We parked our camper van right by the water and had an amazing view. The toilets and showers were excellent, with warm rooms and a hot, strong shower. A lovely place to stay.

We loved being able to get straight to the lake for paddleboarding, and the campsite itself is great. The showers were excellent, with plenty of hot water. A lot of the facilities seemed to be closed, though, and I couldn't find a washing machine. I also searched everywhere for the campervan grey-water disposal point shown prominently on the site map, but couldn't locate it.
