I always pick this hotel when I'm on a service trip, and I've never left disappointed. Booking, check-in, staff, service, room and breakfast have all been flawless. The thick curtains are a big plus, since they block outside light even when it's still bright at 1:30AM. It's a beautiful modern hotel with a slightly industrial look. You can see concrete, wood and other natural materials throughout the rooms, hallways, stairs, canteen and reception. It feels respectful of nature, like Norway as a whole. Really recommend it.

A really nice, quiet, clean and organized place. I love the breakfast here. The taller guy working here is one of their best employees, extremely friendly and welcoming. The kitchen lady has a 6star smile and deserves the top 1 welcoming badge too.

That loud noise, probably from the thermostat, made it impossible to sleep. I hope they've fixed it and that I was just unlucky, which is why I gave three stars instead of five. The place itself is beautiful, with modern Scandinavian furniture, and the staff were very nice. I didn't get a double bed, but otherwise the room was good.

If you're hungry in Fillan while crossing the island, try Hjorten hotell's restaurant. We stumbled on this island gem and had outstanding food and top notch service. A beautiful meal that will stay with me.

It's right in the centre of everything, with stores less than a minute away, and a nice base for seeing deer or the wonderful nature. The location's good, the rooms are clean, the staff friendly, and the service was great.
