The apartment was clean, well equipped, and in a great spot near the shops and Slaatta Skiskool. We visited in winter, but the balcony and BBQ area look like they’d be fantastic in summer. And the shower might be the best I’ve ever used. We really enjoyed our stay. A couple of things could be better: I’d prefer a double bed to the two singles pushed together in the main room, and the bunk room is a little small for adults. Non-stick pans and wooden utensils would also be useful. After cooking rice, I understood why a previous guest had left baking powder in the cupboard.

It’s a great deal for a whole apartment and would be an ideal place to spend some time in Geilo. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is the trouble we had getting in without a phone that worked in Norway. Opening the key lockbox requires an internet connection. It’d be helpful to have an offline way to get the keys, or a Wi-Fi password. Luckily, the waitress at the restaurant next door was very kind and let us borrow her phone.
