We were there in our motorhome just before the season ended, during the off-season. It’s a small site with a family-friendly feel, and the owner was helpful and friendly, though not a man of many words. The view is incredibly beautiful. Our bathrooms were in excellent condition; the showers were old and worn but clean. There’s no facility for refilling motorhome water or emptying grey water or the toilet. For that, I’d recommend Geiranger Camping, where it’s possible for around NOK 350. We booked the boat transfer to the hiking trail. The hike takes about four hours and definitely isn’t for beginners. You climb the mountain over big rocks and stones, then come back down a difficult path to the campsite.

We found a last-minute opening at Cabin 9, the one nearest the water, and the views were spectacular. The cabin was nice, and the people running the grounds were very kind and accommodating, like most people we met in Norway. We rented a boat and fishing poles, headed out to the waterfalls, and caught plenty of fish. Highly recommend it. They also offer SUP and fishing pole rentals, boat drop-off to Skagefla, and washer and dryer use. The location is great because it’s outside town, which gets exceptionally busy when cruise ships or ferries dock.

These roomy cabins sit right by the Fjord, with a direct view of Geiranger. The beds are cozy and comfortable, and there’s free parking and fast Wi-Fi, around 45MBit/s. You can rent a motorboat or kayak too.

The balcony looks out on an incredible view, and the location is fantastic. This was one of our favorite places to stay in Norway.

Geiranger is such a beautiful town, and Geir is a lovely guy. We had two wonderful days here. The cabin was spotless, peaceful, and in a perfect location. We’ll definitely stay again when we return to Norway. Thanks for the great memories, 10/10!
