The hotel was welcoming, and we enjoyed the hospitality. But as Nika’s review below says, I’d look elsewhere for dinner. We had leek soup, ham slices with vegetables, and panna cotta. The meal was bland, and the vegetables seemed to be frozen. The dining room seats over 100 and appears set up for tour groups. We rode our e-bikes down a steep descent to Kvitabui, a few miles away, and had a lovely meal there.

Good value, in a quiet but central area. There’s a kiosk, shop, cafe, and a top-notch burger place close by.

The room was fine, and the staff were nice and helpful, but I can’t get past how awful dinner was. The nearest restaurant is about half an hour away by car, so this is the only place to eat in the evening if you stay at the hotel. Dinner costs 425 NOK per person for soup, a main course, and dessert, far too much for food that wasn’t even edible. The soup was very good compared with the rest, but the main course was unbelievably tasteless. If you’re vegetarian, the only options are whole boiled potatoes and undercooked frozen vegetables. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

A cute, very welcoming hotel with a good breakfast. The beds were the one letdown, since they were small and not very comfortable.
