Sandtorgholmen Hotel - Best Western Signature Collection

The people working here were the best part for me. Even in such a remote place, the young staff were cheerful and super friendly with guests from all over the world, and the international mix of guests added to the experience. The hotel has a classic feel that keeps its old ambiance while offering modern amenities. The sauna was a nice addition too. This was the highlight of my Lofoten trip.

A convenient overnight stop when traveling from Tromso toward Lofoten. We liked the authentic interiors in this historic place, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a simple dinner with beers while looking out over the lake, then enjoyed the breakfast and tried the sauna too. That was a nice experience.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and when we asked about an EV charger, one of the men even called his boss to check. I was amazed at how they handled reception, prepared meals, and cleared dishes. This was one of the best places we stayed on our trip and made a great stopover. We booked the breakfast and dinner package. The food was home-cooked and focused on quality rather than a huge range. Breakfast had what we needed, including omelets, sausages, yogurt, bread, and salad. We liked it more than a place with a bigger but less tasty selection. Dinner was a delicious home-cooked buffet with stuffed breaded fish, meatballs and mashed potatoes, garlic bread, and cakes. The price felt very reasonable, especially since the alternative was driving 30 km into town. Thanks for a wonderful travel experience!

The rooms have an interesting layout, with beds fitted into spaces that preserve the original vintage home. The place has an old charm, made much lovelier by Sabrina’s hospitality. She made our stay impeccable, greeting everyone and taking time to chat. She was handling reception, waiting tables, and cooking, yet with our dietary restrictions she also whipped up a few extra dishes alongside the dinner buffet. She’s amazing, so friendly and helpful.
