I stopped at Fiskekrogen for lunch before going to Oslo. It was quiet, so the water view from the dining room and the calm atmosphere made the visit feel relaxed and private. The staff were warm, attentive, and smiling. Most of the food was solid and more flavorful than at many Norwegian restaurants I’ve tried. I had seafood with a bottle of white Burgundy, which went nicely together. The lobster tasted good, with a bit of an Asian-inspired flavor, but its presentation didn’t seem in line with the price. That dish could use some work, especially as one of the menu’s more expensive choices. Everything else was good, and I had a really nice meal.

The price is on the high side, but for the food, setting, and service, I thought it was worth it. The staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and were happy to make recommendations. It felt both relaxed and a little special. At Fiskekrogen in Henningsvær, the harbour views give you a real sense of Lofoten’s charm. The seafood tasted very fresh, was carefully cooked and presented, and the fish was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. You could see the attention to detail in the dishes. I’d recommend it for a memorable dinner, and I’m sure I’ll be thinking about this meal for a while.

We enjoyed every dish, especially the flavorful traditional fish soup. The fish and chips were crunchy and good too. I’d come back to Henningsvær just to eat here again, and would recommend everyone give it a try. Best restaurant in Lofoten!

Thomas and Martha were wonderful, and I want to give them a special thank you. My family and I had dinner in this lovely place beside Henningsvær’s main water channel. The food was delicious, especially the mussels, the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended, a place for the heart! ❣️
