Scandic Honningsvåg

We got there about 3 hours before check-in, but they had the room ready in around half an hour, which meant we could rest after the long trip. It was clean and nice, with a roomy, spotless shower and toilet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel has free parking, with directions to another parking option if the lot fills up. Breakfast was really good and had lots of variety. Thank you!

Reception managed to get us into a room a little early even though we arrived ahead of time. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was excellent. Just a small drawback, there aren't many parking spots.

We stayed here on a Globus-sponsored tour package around 06 September 2024, and the experience was negative. The place felt dated and in need of a major remodel or demolition. Our room was tiny, with the end of the bed almost against the wall, leaving very little space to get out in an emergency. The bathroom was also old, cramped and badly outdated. Ventilation was poor, though I imagine that may be more tolerable in winter when heat is needed. The staff on site were very nice, and the food was adequate but nothing special. The dining room seemed to be on the basement level. I put the blame on the tour provider in this case, but my experience matches other visitors' comments. In my view, this was not a three-star hotel.

The exterior shows the hotel's age, but inside my room was surprisingly spacious. The bathroom seemed renovated and was perfectly clean. Breakfast was pretty good, Scandic style. The noisy AC unit on the outside wall could be heard indoors, which was the one real downside. For one or two nights, I'd say it's a good hotel at a reasonable price.
