We hadn’t booked anywhere for our trip, and came across this place on the way. We realized how lucky we were to find it. It’s a wonderful spot to connect with nature, and we fell in love with it.

The nature is lovely, and there are good hikes nearby. We went during a heatwave with our big dogs, over 70 kg, and there was no air conditioning in the room. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

We visited in midsummer, at the start of August, and had a three-bedroom apartment in the main hotel. The room was excellent, breakfast was a very good standard Scandinavian buffet, and the location was superb. It was peaceful in the hotel, in town, and out in the hills and mountains. This is a ski lodge, so I can imagine it gets REALLY busy in winter. Recommended.

After a long day skiing, the sauna was a must. There was also a seating area with a log fire, and the food was absolutely delicious. The rooms and communal areas were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was near reception and beside the stairs, so footsteps and voices could make it quite noisy at times.

We spent one night here for our honeymoon, and the staff made it so thoughtful. They upgraded us from a standard room to one with a balcony and sauna, left a friendly wedding congratulations note and fruit platter in the room, and gave us a free pudding after dinner. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!
