The cottage was fantastic for our stay. It was spacious, clean, warm and had everything we needed, including an excellent kitchen and bathroom, plus a washing machine. It can sleep up to six, so it works for couples or families. We were in number 2 and loved it, though cottages number 3 or 4 have the best lake and mountain views. From the couch we could look out at the lake and mountains, and from the kitchen we saw the forest. It felt wonderfully remote, with no people or noise beyond the rain. We walked in the forest in the morning and it was gorgeous. A real place to rest and enjoy the scenery. The man who welcomed us at reception was friendly and gave us all the information we needed. We found it odd that linen wasn't included in the booking, and had to pay for it. Travelers might want to bring their own sheets in Norway. We also had to clean the cottage ourselves or pay 50 euros for cleaning, which we thought was included in the booking. Checkout was easy, just leave the keys in the mailbox at reception, a few kilometers away down the small forest road. We really appreciated the stay and would book here again when we return to Norway. Perfect location and accommodation, with a nice owner.
