We did a lot while we were there: a sightseeing trip, boat tour, snowshoeing, fishing, an Arctic bath, and a jacuzzi out in the snow. The guides were all really friendly and helpful. We also spent plenty of time unwinding at the lighthouse, which was such a lovely place to watch for the northern lights. Our triple studio was warm and comfortable, with a kitchen. The view from it wasn’t much, but the room description had made that clear. For a spectacular view, you need to book one of the pricier Aurora rooms, and they’re worth the extra cost. The resort itself feels cozy, and everyone we met on staff, from the restaurant team to the activity guides, was polite and helpful. We were there from 3-7/01/2026. There wasn’t much daylight, but the colours under the full moon were incredible. We had full board and ate very well. Breakfast had lots of options, and lunch and dinner came from a tasty menu. Fantastic stay, and we’d love to return in summer!

We could see the Northern Lights really well around the Lighthouse, and even caught them from the hot tub. You book the sauna and tub separately. I’d recommend them, though they’re a bit pricey. We stayed in the maisonette Suite with one bedroom and a kitchen, in one of the original buildings near reception. It made for a cozy stay. Since we used the kitchen, we only ate breakfast at the Hotel. There was a good selection of hot and cold dishes, bread, fruit and vegetables, and cereal. I especially liked the waffles and Crepes. Parking was available, and charging the electric Car went smoothly. It may take a few hours to get a full charge. We had a great time in Senja and really liked the accommodation ☺️

We stayed for two nights before New Year 2026. The weather wasn’t great, but the place was still incredibly beautiful. The storm took my drone, and although the captains were very supportive, we couldn’t find it in the end. We also tried floating and had a lot of fun. The staff were super friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely love to come back!

We only came here to use the sauna. After a cold dip in the 11°C water by the docks, we spent two hours in the sauna. It was quiet, really nice, and relaxing.

The room was a little small for the price. We had one of the last twin rooms, on the first floor, with a small window facing the rocks rather than the fjord. There was enough storage, the bathroom was modern, and the shower worked very well. It was a last-minute decision to stay in Hamn i Senja, and apart from the room size, our stay felt like five stars. The location is exceptional. A short walk gets you to views of the islands, mountains, and midnight sun. We had dinner at the restaurant: the fish soup and Bacalao were excellent, while the Fish n Chips was average, with quite a small amount of fish compared with the batter. It was early in the season, and the staff seemed disorganized and still learning the systems, though everyone was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including fresh fruit, waffles, and pancakes. We also had a lovely coffee latte out in the sun on the terrace. One of the better codes we have had in Norway.
