We were very happy with our five-night stay. The apartment was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed, and the central location made it easy to walk everywhere. Taxi and bus pickups were three minutes away. The Hotels.com map pin was misleading and showed the wrong spot, but the check-in instructions were easy to follow. There were no towels in the apartment, so I called reception and they brought some up promptly. A couple more pillows on the bed would have been nice.

The lighting in the room was dim and depressing, and the bedroom right beside the hallway was noisy. The bed felt smaller than 1.5m, which is unacceptable for two people. Getting in was a mess: management gave us the wrong entry code, leaving us outside at 8:00 PM in Tromsø with heavy suitcases. They said they’d fix the keypad the next day, but it stayed broken through our whole three-day visit, so we had to use a manual key. The auto-lock was supposed to engage after two minutes, but often took six to ten, leaving us waiting around for the door to secure itself. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

The place felt brand new, with a modern, stylish look, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Staff were very friendly and quick to answer questions or sort things out. When a small problem came up during our stay, they fixed it within minutes, so everything felt easy. We’d gladly come back and recommend it to anyone after a pleasant, hassle-free visit.

The location was a real plus: quiet in February, with cafés and restaurants nearby, and the apartment was warm. Entry was all code-locked, which worked well. But the comfort was poor. The beds were box bases with toppers instead of proper mattresses, and they squeaked whenever anyone moved. There were no blankets, the pillows felt almost empty, and the two spare pillows had no cases. One tiny bedroom had a double bed fitted wall to wall and nowhere to store anything. The other was an awkward, long room with two doors and a bed filling the space, though it did have bedside tables and an open wardrobe. Neither room looked like the photos. The ventilation or air purifier was also quite loud. The kitchen and living room were usable, but there was dust on some lamps, a stain on the couch, and only one of the couch-side lamp's three bulbs worked. The single pan was badly worn, and there was no washing-up liquid, sponge, tea towel, or oven mitts. Some baking paper and foil seemed to have been left by earlier guests. Wi-Fi was weak, though we were out exploring most of the day. The advertised mountain view came from the small bedroom, looking toward the mountains with the bridge in the way. Luggage storage was a shared room that anyone with the code could enter, with no one watching it. It cost 100 NOK for five hours, which I think should be included. For a holiday, I want somewhere comfortable, and this wasn't it. I'd pay a little more for Radisson Blu. I wouldn't stay here again.
