We booked a hotel at the last minute through booking.com and hadn't realized this was an unmanned hotel. A staff member came down from upstairs to get everything set up for us. The room was basic, with a bed, a small bathroom, and a kettle with some coffee and tea.

We stumbled on this place by accident and feel very lucky we got to spend a night here, right in the heart of Kristiansund. We were a little unsure about the location at first, but Gjestehuset turned out to have an extremely clean, practical room and the most charming host. Two thumbs up!

There was quite a bit of noisy traffic the night we stayed, but the room was reasonably priced and we were very happy with our visit. It was clean and pleasant, with a good-sized room, coffee and a kettle. The hosts were caring, and paid parking was available right outside. The location was convenient too.
