The rooms they gave me were unbearably hot and extremely dirty. There was no shampoo or tissues, and they were nowhere near the standard of the apartment I had booked. Staff rudely insisted they were “the same quality.” I had booked and paid in full well in advance. Eight days later, after driving over 1,000 kilometers, I arrived exhausted at about 11 PM and was told they had emailed to say they were fully booked. I never received that message, and they had not refunded my money. No one apologized or offered compensation. The staff were dismissive and rude, and took no responsibility. A hotel should not accept payment for a booking it cannot provide, then leave a guest with a far worse replacement and no refund. At the very least, they should treat people with respect, especially after a long trip. The whole thing was shocking and stressful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk downtown, which is handy. The warm shower had no time limit, though there was only one sink. When we were there, around 20 French teenagers were also staying, and they were noisy and kept playing until 1 am. Some quiet hours would help.

Kristiansund is about a 10 minute walk away, and the sanitary facilities were good. The hot water was properly hot and there was no time limit on it. It's a quiet place, mostly on grass with some gravel. The grass pitches are lovely in good weather, though they might be tricky for front-wheel-drive campers when it rains.

We got in late, after reception had closed, but the very friendly staff still helped us get laundry coins, food and water. There are free hot showers, a small kitchen area, and even good filter coffee at no charge. The people were so welcoming, and the place is very close to the center. I'd recommend staying here, especially if you're bikepacking. Thanks for the hospitality!

Everything was clean, and the shower was hot and free. The caretaker was especially kind and helped me repair my bicycle. The other staff were super friendly too. Thanks for a really nice stay.
