This was easily our favorite house during the trip to Oslo. It felt quiet and tucked into nature, with a gorgeous river view that made the place seem like an enchanted forest. The hosts were so kind too. I’d definitely recommend it.

Both places had striking views and plenty of character, one was a 60s style house and the other a hunting cabin over the river. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and there’s a lot to see and do nearby, including the Laerdal tunnel and Flam. We were two families who booked together, though, and only then found out the properties were two kilometres apart. Worth knowing if you’re travelling as a group. We still enjoyed the stay.

The house is cute and cosy, with a fireplace that really stands out and lovely kitchen decor. The host was friendly and shared lots of useful information.

We came across this little cabin by chance, and it ended up being the best place of our whole trip. It’s tucked among the trees beside the river, with a wood-burning fireplace and everything included. The owner was very kind and helped us work out a way back to Oslo that avoided roads closed by snow. We’d stay here again for sure if we come back to Norway.
