Maristuen Fjellferie

We were sorry to leave after just one night. The two cabins we booked for our family both offered lovely views and privacy, plus outdoor seating. Inside, there was plenty of living space, a dining table for six, and a reasonably well-equipped kitchen. One cabin had a completely remodeled bathroom. Keep in mind there’s no restaurant on site or breakfast service, even for a fee, and there aren’t nearby shops or restaurants. We hadn’t brought groceries, so we appreciated being able to buy a few basics like bread, butter, jam, and eggs from the hotel manager. The staff were great, and the manager/owner even lent us a pepper grinder from his home the next morning at breakfast.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. If you have your own car, you can get to lots of places from here.

We all wished we’d booked more than two nights. We adore this place and couldn’t have asked for anything better. We’ll definitely come back when we travel in Norway.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The cabin was comfortable and practical, with a lovely view, and good value for the money. I recommend it.
