For me, guest comfort should be the main thing at a hotel, but here that fell short despite all the extra services they offer. We stayed in a four-star hotel where a wooden door connected our room to the one next door, and we could hear even their farting. TV noise from that room kept us awake, and it was still what woke us before 7 the next morning. When you're traveling and hoping to rest, that's really not what you want.

We came from Canada and spent three weeks traveling around Norway. Of all the hotels on the trip, this was our favorite. The rooms had plenty of space, the food was great, and the staff were the most welcoming we encountered. Meron was especially wonderful, friendly, attentive, and full of personality, and he was great with our three-year-old too. A top-tier stay.

The bathroom was the main letdown: the toilet was almost under the sink, there were no wall outlets for a hairdryer, and the loose shower door swung both ways, making it feel unsafe and potentially slippery. Still, I had a lovely stay. The hotel has a classic, luxurious feel, with lots of inviting places to sit, beautiful grounds, and a great location with lovely views and easy access to explore. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. I’d definitely recommend it for its beauty and welcoming atmosphere.

We spent three nights here on our trip. The hotel is nice, but it definitely needs some renovation. Breakfast was decent.

The breakfast room is roomy and has a good range of choices. This is a large hotel in Lillehammer, with generously sized rooms, though the upkeep could be better. One box on a ledge was loose, and there was an empty space where a Kleenex box seemed to be missing.
