The restaurant served amazing food, and the hotel works really well for meetings and seminars. It’s near trains that go to either Oslo or Gardermoen. The service-minded staff made the place, though: they greeted me with smiles when I arrived, and everyone said hi when we passed.

Lillestrom itself has plenty of restaurants and bars, and the hotel is close to the train station, one stop from the airport and one from Oslo center. The rooms were nice, and the breakfast buffet was the most amazing I’ve ever seen. There’s a gym, pool, jacuzzi, and Sauna, too. I was here for the Christmas Nordics dance competition.

The hotel is easy to find, about a five-minute walk from the train station, and the rooms are nice and clean. There was something to drink in the mini bar. The breakfast and lunch were great, but dinner felt more like leftovers from lunch. The meeting experience was rough. Staff came into the meeting room during breaks whether they needed to or not, and hall noise made it hard to work. When we asked questions, language problems got in the way, and the challenges never got fixed. We gave up. Also, Thon is the ONLY hotel in Norway that requires ID at check-in. Some people don’t carry ID when traveling domestically. This is Norway! I believe there are better hotels to try. Stay safe out there :)

The hotel itself is very nice, and I can’t really complain about it. The bar, though, charges outrageous prices. Serving Pepsi and white Bacardi as a rum and coke is just insulting.

The breakfast is outstanding, and the location is perfect if you’re attending an exhibition. I think the hotel standard used to be better. In the bathroom, they provide only a very boring shower soap, and I’d like small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion instead. They’d be especially useful when traveling light.
