Scandic Alexandra Molde

I didn’t get a room with a view, so I can’t say whether the rooms have a great one. The breakfast was good, and the cleaning staff were very nice. It’s a good place.

I happened to get a room with a veranda, and I guess you can ask for one when booking. The hotel is right in central Molde, with a large breakfast buffet and polite, service-minded staff. It met my standards perfectly. For a short or longer stay in Molde, it has everything you need. Hotels are much the same, and this one was a nice choice.

The morning buffet was lovely, and the rooms were nice. Staff were lovely too. The Scandic Alexander Hotel sits in the middle of Molde, just 800 metres from The Aker Stadium. It’s reasonably priced and in a perfect location. I recommend staying here.

The free breakfast was amazing, the rooms were spacious, and the service was friendly. We’re a couple, though, and had to push two single beds together. We kept falling into the gap between them. The room only cooled down if we left the window open, and the seagulls could get very loud. There was also a strong smell from the drain or toilet, probably a buildup of gas, though I’m not sure. It went away after we ran the water. The flowers outside were beautiful. This was my second trip to Norway, and we’d had trouble booking another hotel through booking.com. This hotel was open and helpful when we needed somewhere to stay. It’s a good place for a few days or even a week. Hotels and other places to stay in Norway would benefit from darkening curtains that really block the summer light.
