Restaurant Skadir made a real impression, with delicious local food that celebrates the region. We also loved getting out into the landscape with Henrik and hearing about the mountain area's history and culture. The whole hotel felt warm and welcoming, and Henrik, Jannike and the staff were lovely. Skåbu Fjellhotell was a highlight of our travels in Norway. Two nights felt far too short, so we hope to come back in winter. Tusen takk!

The eight-course tasting menu was outstanding and well worth a Michelin star, and the mountain views are lovely too. The staff are friendly, the hotel is very nice, and the food is exceptionally good. It's a handy base for Langsua and Espedalen, with hiking routes and cross-country ski tracks starting right at the hotel. Getting there is easy by car, or by public transport, since the bus from Vinstra stops at the hotel.

Restaurant Skadir is the star here, right on the hotel's first floor. The dishes they create are incredible, and pairing them with one of their wines is a treat. The hotel itself is gorgeous, clean, modern, and comfortable, and the location is amazing. The host was even more impressive than the hotel and restaurant.

The meals were on another level, easily the best we had during our trip in Norway. Our room was excellent and cosy, and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. We also went on a private hike with our generous host, who explained everything we saw in detail. This was the best part of our trip, and I fully recommend the hotel to anyone looking for an amazing stay. We'll definitely be back!

The guided tour in the National Park with Henrik and the meals were fantastic. My family and I had a terrific time, and everything was excellent, from the rooms and staff to the food. Perfect, in a word. I can't recommend this place enough!
