Oslo center 2

We loved our stay at this cute hotel. Its location is just right, between downtown Oslo to the south and the western area with what feels like loads of high-quality thrift stores, a bit like Soho.

I was surprised by how little came with a standard room. There's no fridge or wardrobe, and I've never before seen a four-star hotel without bottled water or a kettle with tea. There's no toothpaste or disposable slippers either, so you have to buy everything at reception. Even a cup of tea costs extra, and you have to go down to the desk whenever you want one. Everywhere I've stayed, including three-star hotels, water and tea have been standard and free, with refills when needed.

The room was roomy and clean, with a large bathroom, and breakfast was delicious and wonderful. Still, for the price I expected somewhere more comfortable. I seem to have been given one of the worst rooms, facing the inner courtyard with almost no proper window. It felt bare, with no kettle, tea, or water, but plenty of useless lamps and hangers. I think you could find something better in this area.

The rooms were clean and it's easy to walk to public transport. The location is very good, not too far from the city center, and breakfast was great. Special thanks to Abida in the breakfast room for being so kind, caring, and professional.
