Quality Hotel 33

The bed was comfortable, and the linen and towels were clean. The lobby and reception had a nice atmosphere, and the buffet breakfast was good. Beyond that, this is an average hotel with basic amenities, probably fine for a day or two. The room was small and had only a luggage table and one chair. There were no toiletries apart from body wash, no kettle, and no waste bin in the bedroom, though an iron and ironing board were provided. The bathroom door opens straight into the bedroom facing the bed, and its sliding panel only covers part of the opening, making it awkward.

We were there for three nights and four days as a family. The hotel was clean, well located, and easy to reach from the train and bus stations. Breakfast was good. Service was extremely poor, though: they only clean rooms and replace bath and toilet towels every four days. I've never seen a more ridiculous rule. On our third day, we had to ask the reservation desk for fresh towels and toilet paper.

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and breakfast was free. Those were about the only positives for me. The hotel and rooms felt dated and in need of refurbishment, especially compared with another quality hotel we'd stayed at. It was fine to stay in, but nothing special and not worth spending a lot on. It didn't feel on the same level as the other hotels sharing that name. The shower screen sat at an odd angle, so water from the very forceful shower sprayed across the bathroom floor. I noticed it starting to flood and had to cut my shower short. The hairdryer took forever. The bedding smelled stale, so I slept on my back to avoid it as much as possible. The pillows were small compared with the large, luxurious ones at the other quality hotel. There were only about three working TV channels, and it wasn't a smart TV, so we didn't use it. The room had just three plug sockets in total, none beside my side of the bed, which wasn't enough for all our devices. The hotel says the center is well connected, but the journey still felt long, especially with a heavy backpack. If you don't have a car, I'd choose somewhere central.

The metro ride into the city center was quick, and the location was convenient. Staff were super friendly. I found the rooms clean and stylish, and the breakfast buffet had tons of choice and was amazing. I had a great stay at Quality Hotel 33 in Oslo, comfortable and hassle-free. Highly recommend it.
