We liked having a mini fridge for our own food and drinks, and a coffee machine was available too, though we didn't use it. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were spacious and incredibly clean. Even the lifts were clean and working, and check-in was quick and easy. The bathroom towels were very soft. The toiletries were nice, but the hand soap dried my skin out. Breakfast had a good selection, from fresh fruit to scrambled eggs, and we enjoyed the view of the stadium while eating. Shops, supermarkets, and fast food are all within walking distance. We took Ubers into town, which wasn't far away.

The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of tasty choices to start the day. The hotel felt warm and comfortable, and it was very clean. Reception staff were professional, welcoming, and ready to help, which made me feel looked after from the moment I arrived. The service and atmosphere went beyond what I expected. A wonderful stay in Oslo, and I highly recommend it.

Having breakfast while looking out over Ullevaal Stadion, home of Norwegian football, made for quite a view. I wish there'd been a match while I was there. Thanks to hotel Thon for a great stay and a really good cooked breakfast.

Feedback for Thon Hotel Ullevaal Stadion I was exhausted this morning, Saturday 04.10.2025, and just needed somewhere to rest. The two people at reception, a man and a woman, were unhelpful and unfriendly. They didn't smile, and when I asked whether I could speak English, their expressions seemed sarcastic. Asked about a room, I was told “maybe from 09:00,” without any confidence or further effort to help. They seemed more focused on chatting with each other than assisting guests. It was a very unpleasant experience.

For a visit to the University Center Blindern, the location worked for me, about a 10-15 minute walk. It's probably ideal for the stadium, but not so good for the city. Room service was limited, and breakfast was hit or miss. The egg dishes and porridge weren't warm enough, and there were no coffee choices.
