We spent two quiet, relaxing nights in a four-person hut with our golden retriever. It’s a friendly, authentic little place with everything we needed and no frills. The campsite has a peaceful feel that encourages people to keep things quiet. Traffic from the main road could be an issue if you’re sensitive to noise, so earplugs might help. Everything was clean.

Cabin 13 was spacious, with a big comfortable bed, a kitchen, and a large bathroom with a lovely shower. We also tried the breakfast service and really enjoyed it, especially the homemade bread and crackers. The cabin had everything we needed.

The hike to Høsenfjellhytta is an easy one, about 45 minutes, and the reception can point you toward it. We saw lovely views from the top and lots of berries and untouched nature along the way. We didn’t run into any other hikers, so it felt like a secret tip. Back at the campsite, everything was very clean and it almost felt like a small, cute village. The showers and toilets aren’t anything special, but they’re clean and work fine.

We had a wonderful stay in a lovely cabin, well equipped for four people, and the property was exceptionally clean. The location is stunning, close to the popular destination Roros while still quiet and peaceful. The host was really sweet and helped with check-in and directions, making everything go smoothly. We even got to see snowfall here at the end of May.

Our hytte (Nr. 12) was spotless and well organized, with a shower, wc, tv, fireplace and full kitchen. It exceeded our expectations. The campground is very clean and dog friendly, and it’s only 10km from Røros. We’d stay there again!
