The rooms have a traditional Scandinavian look, though they could feel a little cozier. Still, I think the place is worth recommending. Its real draw is the mountain setting, with magnificent views and plenty of good hiking routes. Just be prepared for the winter, when the snow can get incredibly deep.

After a full day skiing, it was so much fun to relax in the heated outdoor pool, sauna, and steam room. We picked this hotel for the pool, and it lived up to expectations. The restaurant had amazing views, and breakfast was fabulous too.

We booked an all-inclusive weekend for four, but on the second evening we were told meals were included for only two people, directly contradicting our booking. After a long discussion they admitted the mistake. By then, though, the experience had already been ruined.

We came for the sauna and the heated outdoor pool, and the view was amazing. If you're visiting the spa without staying at the hotel, bring your own towels, shampoo, and soap. The sauna door didn't seal properly. I'm sure they'll get to the maintenance at some point.

We spent four nights at Ilsetra for a VR workshop, and the rooms were simple but cozy. The spaces we used for the group were comfortable and had what we needed. The food was a highlight for me. Meals and the food between them were varied and well prepared. Best of all, the staff were incredibly welcoming and sweet. A great experience all around.
