The staff were really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the games room and pool tables, and the bar food was decent. Breakfast was fantastic, too. Great hotel.

The room at Scandic Hafjell was fine, and the hotel seemed pretty average. Dinner was a different story. I ate alone and ordered a bacon and chicken sandwich, then waited 40 minutes before asking what was going on. The server said there'd been a mix-up with the chef and they hadn't even started making it. Honestly, shocking. After about an hour, I checked again and was told it would be another 10 minutes. It came 20 minutes later, so I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes in total. The sandwich arrived without cutlery or a napkin, either. Such basic things were missing, and the whole episode felt embarrassing and completely unprofessional. One of the worst food and service experiences I've had. I'll never go back.

I slept like a child, best night's sleep I've had in ages. The room was awesome and even had a bathtub. Just know the heat takes a looooong time to adjust. Also, the rubber on the glass screen was nasty and should be replaced.

The room was really nice and clean, and breakfast was very nice too. Dinner was just okay, nothing special, though we were so hungry that it tasted great. We only stayed one night, but it was excellent. A lovely Nordic hotel.

We had a lovely couple of nights. The rooms are basic, but have what you need, including a good, powerful shower. The breakfast buffet is extensive, can't fault it. The one letdown is the restaurant menu, with very few vegetarian or vegan choices. That's not really okay these days.
