Topcamp Rustberg - Hafjell

We booked two cabins at this campsite for 2025-02-07 to 09, and the stay was extremely disappointing. We planned to arrive around 9 pm, but couldn't find an automatic key lock at the large cabin door, H27, which the map seemed to show as the main entrance. The 24/7 "vakt" support line was useless: nobody answered despite multiple attempts and more than 30 minutes on the phone. We were left outside in the cold for hours. The road to the cabin, marked with a red arrow on the map, was dangerously icy and almost impossible to walk safely. One of our friends slipped and broke his nose. It looked like nobody had maintained or salted the path, which is a serious safety issue. We eventually found a cabin key in the reception building, which was strangely unlocked, and got inside. Later we learned there was another entrance on the other side, but it wasn't clearly marked on the map, where it appeared as a dotted line. That route was slippery too and couldn't be driven on. For what we paid, we expected basic service and safe access. We definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Avoid arriving late, and avoid it in winter because the paths to the cabins get so slippery.
