The rooms are spacious, but quite dated. Our tiles and toilet had scratches, the conditioner bottle was empty, and the shower drained so slowly I had to pause halfway through to let the water go down. The sparkling water dispenser downstairs didn’t work at all during my three-day stay, even though I checked every day. The location is definitely the best part. Asker station is a 6-10 minute walk away, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. McDonald’s and Circle K are right across the street. Check-in made a poor first impression: both front desk staff were outside on their phones when we arrived, then came in slowly to help. Breakfast was decent, and I appreciated that everything was clearly labelled. Some background music might have made the room feel more welcoming, but it was fine. It’s an okay hotel for a short stay, though the service and maintenance could use serious improvement.

The staff were friendly, the location was good, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast cost extra. There was a good range to choose from, but the quality and taste weren’t up to much.

Breakfast was nice, and the gym was okay, though it had no towels, tissues, or water cups for two days. Maybe they don’t restock anymore? The hotel is okay for a one-night stop on the road. It’s a little worn, but kept in good shape and clean.

The service is what makes this place. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and made the atmosphere feel welcoming. Breakfast was basic but enough. The rooms could use updating, and the beer prices are undeniably high 😕. If excellent service matters to you, they deliver.

The room was really dirty, and breakfast fell far short of the usual high standard at Norwegian Scandic hotels. We’ll put it down to the summer holiday period and the heat.
